I am receiving error message “PDP Authentication Failure”
Encountering a “PDP Authentication Failure” typically points to issues with your device settings or the status of your eSIM data/validity.
To troubleshoot this error, please review the following checks:
- APN Configuration: Ensure the APN for your eSIM is configured exactly as specified on your eSIM installation guide—using all lowercase letters without spaces.
- Data Availability: Verify you have available data on your eSIM. Attempting to connect without data can lead to this error.
- Network Compatibility: Confirm your device is connected to a network that supports your eSIM, as detailed on the eSIM installation instructions.
For detailed instructions and to access the eSIM installation guide, navigate within your eSIM management portal to My eSIMs > Details > Install eSIM and scroll for more information. Should these steps not resolve the issue, a network settings reset might be necessary:
Resetting Network Settings:
- Open your device’s Settings.
- Tap on General.
- Select Reset.
- Choose Reset Network Settings.
- Restart your device to apply changes.
*Note: Resetting your network settings will clear all saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN/APN configurations.
