How to Uninstall or Temporarily Disable Your eSIM on iOS

Whether you need to uninstall an eSIM you’re no longer using or wish to temporarily disable it without removing it entirely from your iOS device, the process is straightforward and can be accomplished directly within your device’s settings.

To Uninstall an eSIM:

  1. Navigate to Settings on your iOS device.
  2. Select Cellular/Mobile from the menu.
  3. Find and tap on the eSIM profile you wish to remove.
  4. Choose Remove Mobile Data Plan to uninstall the eSIM.

Depending on your device, you might see options like “Remove eSIM” or “Delete Mobile Plan” for this action.

To Temporarily Disable an eSIM:

  1. Open Settings on your device.
  2. Go to Cellular/Mobile settings.
  3. Here, you’ll find the option to “Turn on/off this line,” allowing you to temporarily disable the eSIM without deleting it. This way, you can reactivate and continue using the eSIM whenever needed.

Please note, temporarily disabling an eSIM doesn’t halt its validity period; the eSIM will continue to expire as per its designated validity period even when not in use.
